Carnations are hot!

We love CARNATIONS! They have made a comeback and are no longer considered a taboo wedding flower. They look great paired with Hydrangea to add depth to an arrangement and come in so many vibrant colors that work well as fillers. Our personal favorite is using them alone in tight, compact arrangements giving them an elegant, modern look.

We’re getting creative with bouquets!

Look how gorgeous the rose satin bow looks on the handle of this bouquet.

Loving this head table we did at a recent wedding! Various heights of pomander balls accented with candles make for an elegant yet understated tablecape!

The blues…

Gorgeous, huge blue hydrangeas were the primary color for a recent wedding. This is the perfect time of year for these hues and they are relatively inexpensive!

g the vibrant yellows in this bouquet for one of our recent clients. When you want a single colored bouquet the best thing to do is use a range of that color so that it contrasts well and highlight the individuality of each bloom.

Gorgeous gown and bouquet

I’m loving this gown. One of our recent brides wore it and the bouquet we created for her complements it perfectly. The flowers and crystals on the gown are so elegant. The bouquet is soft, romantic and traditional with a combination of Roses, Calla Lilies and Peonies. We even added in some Swarvoski crystals to match with the gown.

A wedding by the sea

This weekend we did a gorgeous wedding by the ocean in NY’s famed Coney Island beach. What a perfect day to get married and take ocean front pictures! The sun was shining and the ceremony was held in the venue’s outdoor area complete with a romantic gazebo. The bride chose a combination of whites, creams, soft pinks and a touch of hot pink for her decor. My favorite part of the decor was her sweetheart table arrangement. We paired a stunning crystal candelabra with draped Swarvoski crystal strands with a bed of flowers around the base. On the sides of the table we used soft pink cherry blossom branches. This sweetheart table really popped! No one could miss this bride.

A bride's story…

One of my favorite brides passed along her pictures. She got married at the Riverview in NYC and got some gorgeous waterfront shots. I love how she wanted us to incorporate alotĀ of different colors which looked great with her navy bridesmaid’s dresses.

Centerpieces

While most brides choose a single arrangement for their tables, many are opting for trendier centerpieces and are wowing guests with modern, diversified groupings of floral arrangements. Vases of varying shapes and sizes made of glass, ceramic, gold and silver are gathered together in the center of reception tables to …form one spectacular arrangement. These are often placed on a rounded mirror and surrounded by candles for a romantic effect. Using a different color or type of flower in each vase is another great way to bring out your unique style. Smaller, portable vases filled with beautiful blooms are a great bridal keepsake and gift for your guests.
